Kizomba has exploded in popularity around the world in recent years, but it's originally from Angola.
The steps are clearly descended from Angola's upbeat semba party dance, but they were adapted to suit the slower tempo of kizomba music, which led to its much more sensual dance style.
Seasoned salsa dancers Sharon and Terence decided to try kizomba back in 2014. They immediately fell in love with the soul-captivating intensity of the music and the moves and very quickly became addicted kizombeiros!
Two years later, they started teaching kizomba locally and their class runs every Wednesday from 8.30pm to 9.30pm at the Polish Catholic Centre, Newton Hill Road, Chapel Allerton LS7 4JE.
